Filomeno Hernández

Filomeno Hernandez began his studies at the School of Fine Arts of Neiva. In 1978 he traveled to Barcelona and saw the spirit of Gaudí. Between 1971 and 1981 he studied etching at the Stamperia d’Arte di Gerardo Lo Russo.
In 1981 he moved to Switzerland where he studied French and Latin American literature at the University of Freiburg. Between 1996 and 2002 he lived in Colombia and then settled in Freiburg.
Important critics, curators, poets and writers have expressed their perception of the work of this great Colombian artist.
