Florence Levy-Lambert

I was born in France in 1963. After high school, I was genetically directed towards the Art field: my grand-mother studied at Beaux Arts in Paris and my mother is an art curator!

I studied successfully illustration and advertising in Ecole Centrale des Arts Décoratifs in Paris, worked for a year in advertising in Paris then followed my heart and moved to Israel in 1987 where I kept working in the advertising field until 2000.

When I gave birth to my third and last child, I decided to listen to my soul for the second time in my life and to spend my time with brushes, oil and acrylic paint and canvases!
Spontaneously I started to paint a teddy bear, then another one... Something about childhood hypnotizes and attracts me I guess, not only tenderness but fragility and helplessness.

I also like to portrait my family and our cultural context. I find in video clips something in between art and advertising, they were revolutionary when I was a teenager and they still are.

In coming september I'll take part in "Love Art make Art" in Tel Aviv which is an open studios week-end event.
