Ray Carey

I was born near a small country village in the Irish Midlands (County Westmeath), growing up with my younger brother and sister, I always enjoying the outdoors. Whether cycling to the hurling pitch, discovering old ruins, helping on the farm or learning to drive at 4! - I developed a love of travel, landscapes and nature.

Later in life, I discovered 35mm film cameras and started to experiment with Wabi-sabi and capturing landscapes that most people miss. I look for the natural and often overlooked beauty in every-day scenery when composing photograph. I moved to Australia in 2010 and continue to travel with the company of my wife and two dogs.
