Francesca Volchitza Marta

I am a plural artist of Italian origin, and Parisian by adoption—a painter, illustrator, dancer, choreographer, actress, director, and author. My research revolves around the Human Being, the Feminine, and Alchemical Marriage, often inspired by fairy tales, mythology, and theatre.
I have had a visceral love for all arts ever since I was little. Dancing, painting, writing, and theatre were my Friends, my Allies, my Nurses. They were necessary, like the air we breathe, essential and pure like water, and like the soil of my inner earth. They are magical bridges that allow my mind to touch on the “Greater Than ALL.” The Arts were my guides in my childhood, and today they are part of my Being as compasses, fields of development, and vehicles of beauty and authenticity.
As a very imaginative Child, I found solace in the Arts, structuring myself little by little with perseverance and tenacity.
My relationship with the Arts is as vital as my relationship with Animals and Nature, which helped me reconnect with my animal part and with my feelings, as they are very linked to femininity and spirituality. All my Creations are connected to each other, to serve the Human Being in the journey of knowledge towards Self-Love.

In my experiences and my artistic expressions, the different fields of art influence and enrich each other.
Sometimes, a portrait of a woman becomes an opportunity to create and dance a choreography around the feminine. Sometimes, it is my feelings as a dancer that inspire me to new subjects for painting.
This connection among the Arts represents for me a kind of deeper and deeper exploration, where each artistic discipline, with its demands and challenges, allows me to go further in my artistic research and in my journey as a human being .
As a child, a teenager and then a woman, I rediscover and strengthen the Link with Me-Love Me with each dance step, with each brushstroke, with each line played with heart. I believe in the alchemical, maieutic, therapeutic power, inspiring images and all forms of Art.
In my dreamlike, allegorical, vibratory paintings dedicated to couples or to feminine sensuality, each person draws their unique story, their own inner mirror to discover or rediscover the feminine and masculine energies, the animal totems, the inner child, the elements of nature.
