Francois Melin

Former student of fine arts in Brest, I am sensitive to the emotions that Nature arouses.

My work is anchored in a look and an abyss of my being, transcended by the incessant marriage of the forces of nature.

This one, and the ocean in particular, reminds me of a metaphor of our being, and this, in gestation of a sensitive and intuitive pictorial research.

My painting shares an elementary sensation, a look at this founding material which is water. Water always tormented, but reassuring because of its strength, that which imposes humility. White water and skies, also often angry, but always this light in the background heralding more lenient weather ... A writing, a gesture, and volumes spring out carried by masses of moving water, and the light always...

Thus, my paintings evoke interior landscapes, where Shadows and lights dance in the voluptuousness of our dreams.
