J Frías

I am a painter, draftsman and teacher of art.

I graduated in Cuba in 2006 and worked as an art teacher for 5 years in different educational centers, and later organising painting workshops in Finland.

My art works have been exhibited in Cuba and Finland. In 2013 I exhibited at the International Cultural Center Caisa, and at the Parliament of Finland in Helsinki, among others. In 2022 I exhibited at the Provincial Museum of Las Tunas, Cuba, with great public success. As well participated in three occasions in the annual performance festival “La Pupila Archivada” organized by the AHS of Las Tunas, Cuba. I have worked on various mural projects in both Cuba and Finland.

My art is based on the human being, the body, psychology and environment, in the way one acts, in the relationship with other people and nature. The nude is fundamental in my work as well as eroticism and communication between man and woman. The human being is the central axis of all my work, everything that happens in one's privacy and social life is of interest to me, it is the subject of research in my work. I paint to understand, to get to the root of things, to the truth, to the beauty. I paint to see.

My works are found in private collections in Cuba, Finland, Saint Petersburg (Russia), Egypt, Canada and all over the Europe.
