Gerald Teufel

Gerald Teufel is an expressionist visual artist, who combines collage techniques with dynamic broshstrokes and found materials including illustrations and portraits. Main themes are dreams inspired by all kinds of ancient Myths for example the travels of Odysseus.
Within his abstract compositions someone might look at sexual obsessions or family constellations, as well as the way to overcome it by watching the outcome of that.

Gerald Teufel studied at the University of Vienna German and English literature/Philology , Philosophy.(1974 – 1982)
After this he worked for numerous Austrian Magazines as Investigativ-Journalist. Since 1984 he created a lot of Radio features and since 1995 he became editor of TV-documentaries for the ORF (the Austrian Broadcasting Channels ) and 3-sat.
