Gocha Huskivadze

I am Latvian sculptor and artist Gocha Huskivadze. I was born in 1964 in the capital of Georgia - Tbilisi.

Since the early childhood, I was involved in drawing, modelling and creating small figures of clay plasticine. Since the age of ten, I have continuously mastered the art of sculpture and painting, having received several diplomas and qualification certificates during my studies.
My works became widely recognized, after my participation in the joint exhibition held at the Riga Palace of Culture “Railwaymen” in 1987. My first personal exhibition was organized five years later in 1992, in the “Cinema-Gallery” in Riga. Since then, my works are regularly displayed at various exhibitions in Latvia and abroad.
Since 2005 began to work in my own gallery workshop in Riga Old Town, ar 2/4 Laipu street.

1974 - 1981 – Specialization in Sculpture, Certificate of Completion of the Art School of Tbilisi, Georgia.

1979 - 1982 – Diploma in Modelling of Architectural Pieces, Art College of Tbilisi, Georgia.

1983 - 1989 – Specialization in Drawing and Painting. Private art workshops of A. Bykov and V. Karkunov, Riga, Latvia.

1989 - 1995 – Diploma in Fine Arts in Sculpture. Specialization – Monumental Sculpture. Latvian Academy of Art.Riga, Latvia.

2005 - Member of the Latvian Artists Union
