Giorgi Kukhalashvili

Giorgi Kukhalashvili is a Georgian artist. He lives and works in Tbilisi. He was born in famous georgian painter's family in 1982. He's founder of of the organization " Language of Art ".

In 2002 he finished Iakob Nikoladze Art College, painting department. In 1998, in the period of his study at Art College, Giorgi Kukhalashvili created his work titled “Entering Jerusalem”, which outlined his artistic aspirations and interest in the religious topics. Later in 2000 he finished his painting “Christmas Mystery”, which up to the present day occupies special place in his creative work.

In 2005 in parallel of his study at Tbilisi State Academy of Arts Giorgi Kukhalashvili opened his studio in old Tbilisi historic district and started intensive activities.
In 2007 he finished Tbilisi State Academy of Arts, painting department.

In 2010 on the basis of his studio he founded the Union of Young Artists “Language of Art”. Numerous young artists and sculptors joined creative work of the Union. From 2010 Giorgi Kukhalashvili, together with the creative group, starts implementation of various important artistic projects. Projects and Awards:

2015 - For the special contribution to Georgian Art Giorgi Kukhalashvili was awarded the title of Young Professional;
2014 - Author and participant of the project “New Life”. Project was made with Paata Burchuladze Charity Fund “Lullaby” and Zurab Tsereteli Museum of Modern Art. Ten artists exhibited their paintings aiming to support the beneficiaries of the Fund “Lullaby”.
2013 - Author and participant of the project “Tbilisi and Tbilisians”. The project aimed at creating the portraits of the prominent artists of Georgia by young artists and sculptors. Portraits were exhibited at Georgian National Museum. Project also included the documentary film and a printed catalog.
2011 - Winner of the Art Exhibition “Universe of Lev Tolstoy”, Exhibition Hall of the Russian Drama Theatre after Griboedov project;
2010 - Author and Participant of the of youth project “Meeting of Past & Present”. Exhibition was held at Tbilisi History Museum “Caravanserai”.
