Görkem Dikel

She completed his undergraduate degree at MSFAU Painting Department in 2012. Before graduation, she made her first solo exhibition at Soda with the name “Bigger Than You”. In the same year, she started his master’s degree at MSFAU Painting Department, in 2019 she graduated from the master’s degree with her thesis titled “Abstraction and Space in the Art of Painting of the 21st Century”. Currently, she continues her art doctorate at Mimar Sinan FAU and also studies philosophy BA in Istanbul University at the same time.

Having spent the 2009-2010 undergraduate years at Universidad de Sevilla – Bellas Artes, in 2010 the artist became the first artist from Turkey to be receive the art scholarship of Fundación Antonio Gala, founded by Spanish writer Antonio Gala. In the same year, she participated in the Plein-Air guest artist program of Fundación Tres Culturas in Seville, Spain.

In 2013, she made his second solo exhibition titled “Empatía” at Arte Aula in Seville. She continued to take part in local and international exhibitions and symposiums with the duo exhibition opened at Anna Laudel Contemporary in the same year.
