"Spiritual art, which is ALL true creative art, fills the senses and soul with a being, life beyond our own. Part of God’s creation, yet reflecting it in a new way, one that takes our imaginations and passions into new places. For real artists are explorers. We find, search, out there. Not inward. We need to create, but it must have purpose, for all."
I am passionate about life and try to portray life's beauty in my art. One only live life once, make the best of it!
I love photography, printmaking and painting in oil on canvas. I absolutely adore nature, especially the sea. When I am near the sea, I get inspired to paint.
I usually jump in my car and take a ride out to some of the best beaches in the world, here just 40km from Hopefield, in the West Coast. I love the West Coast National Park near Langebaan, as well as St Helena Bay and Paternoster. All this places inspire me to take photographs and to paint.
I prefer to paint from memory, but my own photographs help me when I need to see how something actually look.
I am open for any commission work.
