Maryna Hromenko

I was born on May 14, 1974 in the old and very beautiful city of Riga in Latvia. Though I have been living in Kyiv my whole adult life. I currently live in Berlin Germany. I began to receive my art education when I was a child – I graduated from a painting and drawing studio, and then from the School of Design in Kyiv. I am a participant of numerous personal and group exhibitions in Ukraine and abroad, a member of UAFRA (Ukrainian Association for Feminine Research in Arts). Several of my paintings were purchased by the German MAUERMUSEUM - Museum Haus am Checkpoint Charlie, Berlin, for its foundation. Also my paintings are in private collections in Ukraine, Russia, Israel, Canada, Cyprus, Spain, Germany, UAE, the UK and the USA.
In my paintings I explore the interaction of color and compositional solutions on the canvas. And in mixed media paintings, I depict a vision of my subconscious reflection of the surrounding world and its problems. My collages are a symbiosis of painting, graphics with appliqué, based on a subtle sense of composition and color. Each collage has its own dominant around which the story is created. Since 1992 - 1993 studying at School of Design.
Since 2003 to 2008 studying at Kyiv National University of Culture and Arts (KNUCA) specializing as an artist-designer at the department of Professor Legenkyi, Doctor of Philosophy, monumental artist, the member of the National Union of Artists. I completed my higher education with Master of Design degree.
