HAKAN ECEVIT
Born in Gaziantep in 1982, Hakan Ecevit began his artistic career through painting during his high school years. After gaining admission to the Faculty of Fine Arts at Hacettepe University, he completed his higher education in the Department of City and Regional Planning at Gazi University’s Faculty of Architecture. Spending a period of his life in Paris, France; Cologne, Germany; and Amsterdam, the Netherlands; Ecevit had the opportunity to expand his expertise in fields such as art history, drawing techniques, and architecture by collaborating with local artists. He gained recognition in the international art scene by holding his first exhibition in California, the United States, in 2017, with his works featured in numerous prominent exhibitions and fairs since then.
Hakan Ecevit’s works comprise compositions where figurative elements are harmoniously integrated with a strong sense of aesthetic sensitivity. The themed series he creates with his distinctive technique stand out as expressions of his observations on life, space, and humanity.
