The diversified cultural environment and volatile political atmosphere of the 1940's and 1950's gave birth to unlimited energy and emotional turmoil in its aftermath. Freedom of thought dominated-questioning everuthing and anything prevailed.
Leaving Brooklyn for the greener pastures of the University of Kansas, I followed the intellectual pursuit of philosophy which broadened my outlook considerably. Experiencing the ideas of the great thinkers expanded my own ideas helping to formulate the concepts that would later mold my art. My particular fascination with existentialism and freedom of choice influenced the fluidity of my work and its surrealistic nature. The flow of energy witnessed in my work is so exciting the one emotionally feels the essence of the medium rather than just merely views it.
