SARA PAO (aka Asami Watanabe) is the finalist of Gaffa Photo Fest Competition 2016. She was born and raised in Tokyo, Japan, currently based in Sydney Australia. She studied for a Bachelor of Arts in Photography at Nihon University for a few years then dropped out, after that, she moved to Sydney, Australia in 2009. She completed a Bachelor of Science in Marine Biology at the University of Technology Sydney in 2018. Although Environmental Science was completely different from Arts, she had to learn because simply she loves nature and the ocean! She also attended workshops, The edit by Rachel Knepfer who is an ex-Director of Photography at Rolling Stone magazine, and Projects & Stories by Martin Mischkulnig at Australian Centre for Photography (ACP) in 2018. She started her NFT projects as Ge:mini (Twitter ) in September 2021.

Her photography explores something beyond emotion, something that is not yet visible but is or was already there, it could be something coincidental, latent or universal.

Also, it is the result of the reaction between the layers of space-time and the physical visual information in front of her eyes - present -, which is transmitted to her brain via lenses and then her eyes.
