Huseyin Ak

Hüseyin Ak, with a background in economics, creates modern, large-scale oil paintings on canvas, celebrating the aesthetic of the female form. With spatula techniques, he constructs abstract backgrounds for his vivid figurative works, challenging patriarchal norms and invoking liberation. His art evokes the ecstasy of rebellion and the subversion of masculine constraints through a vibrant explosion of color and emotional depth. He creates paintings of oil and mixed media where interaction of certain objects and human body (mainly woman figure) is usually the theme of his artworks. He aims to create an imaginary world by the use of mixed colors as background on canvas. The purpose of artist is not to generate a new style, but rather to present the audience a bouquet of colors by blending live and inert figures with various colors.
