I am a music composer and artist living and working in Madeira Portugal. Both my musical and visual works range from traditional to experimental forms. I would describe myself as an eclectic artist.
As an artist after gaining A levels in Practical Art and Art History at school I continued my studies at Dartington College in Devon on the Preparatory Art Course. I then trained as a teacher specialising in Music and Art at Primary School level at Lady Spencer Churchill College (Oxford Polytechnic). After studies at the Royal Academy of Music in London I taught in various schools, including Art at a Special School in Reading, Berkshire (UK).
I currently teach in an Arts School in Funchal Madeira.
My art work spans different mediums: drawing, painting, collage, digital imaging, photography. These mediums are not treated in isolation, rather I am interested in combining several of these when creating a new work.
Also, more broadly, my art and music aesthetics interact, in other words there are various connections in terms of the way I create ideas / concepts / structures.
I will be adding to and improving the information in this profile, so please be patient.
