IlgıN Tanay

He was born in Izmir in 1990. He completed his primary and high school education in Izmir. He graduated from Dokuz Eylül University, Faculty of Fine Arts - Animation Film Design and Management in 2019. In addition to Animation, he took courses from many departments such as Painting, Sculpture and Graphic Design during his university education. In 2014, the artist had a desire to produce work by transforming waste materials such as cardboard. Thus, his first personal exhibition was the exhibition called "Cardboard City" in 2014. The theme of "Crowd", which lasted from 2014 to 2024, emerged during this time. In this exhibition, he adopted the method of exhibiting in four different ways as Animation, Illustration, Model and Installation. In 2016, he was influenced by many ethnic and cultural sculptures, motifs and masks in the world. Wanting to exhibit expression mostly through abstraction and in a minimal line, he created the "Suratetler" series in 2017.
He has produced various conceptual works such as the "Majority Series" in 2021, the "Congested" Series in 2023 and the "Flowers
