The works of Berlin artist Ilja Mlosch move in a space beyond photographic hyperrealism and painting. They irritate the viewer when, beneath the obvious beauty of a motif, beneath the layers of the material, the innermost vulnerable essence of the nature portrayed flashes out.

Ilja Mlosch has long been exploring the possibilities of different materials in order to visualise this delicacy and invite us on a journey into the innermost depths of things.

Ilja Mlosch is inspired by Caspar David Friedrich (atmosphere and symbolism), Karl Blossfeldt (photorealism), Fernando Zóbel (composition), Street-Art + Church painting (material und technique)

His works are in private collections in New York, the Vatikan, Senegal, Spain, Irland, Denmark, Belgium, Luxembourg, Austria, Germany.

Many years work on Mega Yachts for repairing the most exclusive surfaces of the interior and furnitures (wood, stone, leather, ...).

Worked with La Fura Dels Baus, Burgtheater, Schaubühne, Staatsoper Unter den Linden, dozens of scenographers and workshops for scenography, companies for special effects and other artists.
