Inés Vaz

Inés Vaz is a plastic artist born in Montevideo, Uruguay, on July 18, 1988. She specializes in techniques of pencil drawing, graphite, oil, acrylic and sculpture painting in 3D printing. Her subjects of interest are realistic paintings of horses, animal art and nudes. She took classes with different artists from her country but for the most part her technique is self-taught. She worked 11 years with racehorses, in the veterinary service of Hipodromo de Maroñas. From there, her taste for horses, that she portrays in her paintings. She is a fan of the beauty of the body, and of the animals. Her favorite painters are Salvador Dalí and Frida Kahlo, but her works, far from the surrealist currents, portray real life with great realism. Currently she resides in Montevideo, Uruguay where she has exhibited her works on different occasions.
"Todos de niños agarramos un lapiz y nos pusimos a dibujar. Dibujabamos objetos y animales que no existen, pintabamos nuestra realidad y nuestros sueños. Lo que hace distinto al pintor es que de adulto lo sigue haciendo.
