Ira Whittaker

My creative journey began with painting on glass, concrete, and wood — experimenting with texture and surfaces. Over time, I found my true passion in working with oil on canvas, which allows me to express both emotion and detail in a way that feels deeply personal.

I’m especially like to paint animals — particularly cats — and also female figures. There’s something intuitive and emotionally rich in both subjects that speaks to me. As a passionate traveler, I also paint landscapes and seascapes inspired by places that leave a mark on my heart. I believe an artist should not limit themselves to a narrow theme — each painting is a window into both the world I see and the inner world I carry.

My path from amateur to professional has been slow, natural, and filled with curiosity. Through my work, I hope to share a quiet connection — with nature, with beauty, and with the emotions that live between stillness and movement.
