Irina Kolykhalova

I was born in a small mining town of Gubkin in the Belgorod region. There are large quarry and sincere people who are engaged in the extraction of iron ore. This is in the western part of my vast homeland.

My mother instilled in me a love of art. I was fascinated by this from early childhood.

I admired the fabulous subjects and mystery of Vasily Vasnetsov's works, the depth of feelings expressed on the canvases of Mikhail Vrubel, the extraordinary colors of Nicholas Roerich.
Now I live in Moscow and still cannot do without creativity. Living in a metropolis, sometimes you want magic. And I want to fill the lack of communication with nature, so I chose animalism as the theme for my work. The impetus for new creativity was given to me by Mark Franz.

As an artist, I am primarily an experimenter and seeker, so I paint in different techniques and with different materials.
I want my paintings to give you joy and good emotions.
