Ekow Brew is a Ghanaian visual artist and storyteller whose work merges Afrosurrealism with deep cultural symbolism. A self-taught creative based in Accra, his art explores the complex emotional landscapes of human identity, and transformation in postcolonial societies.
Drawing from personal experience, mythology, and the unspoken energies of everyday life, Ekow's work transcends realism — inviting viewers into layered dreamworlds where symbolism, color, and narrative collide. His pieces are meditations on self-discovery, ancestry, and the metaphysical bonds between body, soul, and history.
Ekow has exhibited both locally and internationally, with features in curated catalogs by Saatchi Art and appearances in global digital showcases. Through a mix of photography, digital painting, and mixed media, he seeks to preserve memory while pushing the boundaries of Black expression in contemporary art.
"My art is how I breathe through the world — it’s how I make sense of pain, beauty, silence, and the unseen.”
