I have been a professional artist for 30 plus years. My studio time is sparked by the creative process itself.as well as broad subjects that include music, astronomy, the intertwining relationship of art and science , the forest, and the library The subject of Astronomy and Romance will start with a fact or two that I scribble or write about in my notebooks about black holes or something from or the NASA website or the spring garden and flower abstraction. . . The Library of Thought series symbolizes that knowledge is freedom. I began my career as a professor of art and treasure the journeys available to us inside books .. I live in Pennsylvania with dramatic color changes from season to season The Woodland series or The Magic of the Forest and the full moon were the first subject that inspired my artworks and I continue to walk and study the landscape and the sky.
The ideas marinate and the images and messages seep through intuitively. I have always been making things: a angel food cake with sprinkles or a very carefully designed still life of twigs and rocks assembled along the banks of a river.

My undergraduate years were spent at Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana I received my Bachelor of Arts in 1977.
Post undergrad I spent a year
at The Rhode Island School of Design. It was during this time I discovered mixed media, found objects and collage. Dale Chihuly was my advisor. I received my Master of Fine Arts in 1981 in painting and drawing from the University of Cincinnati. I taught painting and drawing in Denver, Co and at Albright college for ten years and continue to mentor young artists about Art and business. All Together Art, Inc. was established in 2001 We create, select, curate as well as install works for corporate or residential spaces.
