Wherever I go, my eyes have always been tempted with visions that I yearn to capture and express. As a child I walked the East Cape countryside at daybreak with watercolours.In my present milieu it is still my personal bliss to spend a day in the veldt with a friend “capturing the light”. I paint because I cannot not paint. The creative act energises me. All other areas of my life are enriched by it.

I have indulged in close friendships with many skilled and talented artists in the Klein Karoo,absorbing knowledge and skills from them.. Here is a creative outlet for our work,and also for the fermentation of ideas, philosophies and art projects.

Authentic, unpretentious expression is what I work towards. Nature reflecting the nature of things in the microcosm revealed...
