Jane Gomez

Filipina artist who is fascinated by curves and patterns in nature. While I try to envision scenes in nature, I often find myself drawing a flowing curve until the patterns tend to reveal themselves. Sometimes, it feels like a planned design. Sometimes, it feels like a complete absence of thought that even I question my own illustration. It's a battle sometimes, wherein the question of true organic art argues with what should be considered as beauty. The vision is never complete in my head. Only until the paper is filled and when I accept the contrast or thickness of color.

I live in Manila where it's too urban for a nature-lover. I work in architectural design and graphic arts while I aim for other endeavors.
