Jean-Humbert Savoldelli

I paint for over 30 years ; I started painting by Hyper-realism and Trompe-l'oeil.
I've learned the basics in a special course of decorative painting.
The School of Trompe l'Oeil taught me discipline and a certain technique.
Over time these have imprisoned me in limiting the freedom of my desires and my creative choices.

I managed to free myself from this constraints by radically changing my way of painting on canvas : in 2013, acrylic, knife and abstract expressionism replaced oil, brush, and hyper realism. Frustrated for so many years my creativity has been very productive.

Instead of showing everything to the viewer, I now give him a support to daydream based on color harmonies, perspectives, verticals and horizontals witch occupied space without ever clogging it.
Around 10 years after changing the way I'm painting, my style is evolving and I'm constantly looking for new ways to continue to surprise me before to surprising the others.
All my works are protected by a high quality varnish, the edges are painted, usually in black and the paintings are ready to hang.

I was trained in an advanced course of decorative painting in 1995.
I then specialized in trompe l'oeil .
I only began to paint abstract in 2013.
I obtained on april 2017 the 2nd jury's price of the 5th Salon de Peinture Abstraite MY RANKART Exhibition of Art Online

I'm currently exhibiting in my own Galery close to Cahors (Lot, France) and I'm very glad to welcome visitors 7days a week in my workshop-galery.
I've been featuring in the supplement of the British Art Book TALLULAH "15 contemporary artists to watch" in 2016 and I'm also been featuring in the SAATCHI's printed Catalog .

Some of my paintings are also visible in few restaurants in the south west of France as "Le Balandre" gastronomic restaurant in Cahors(46 Lot France), "Le Moulin des Saveurs" in Barbaste (47 Lot et Garonne), "On passe à table" in Saint Géry (46 Lot)

I made a lot of collective exhibition as well as exhibitions in galeries, the last one before I open my own gallery was in June July and August 2014 in the Galery "Le Clos d'Epicure" in Cahors.

The Rights of two my paintings have been acquired by the american company DOLCEZZA to be used for their fashion collection "simply art" fall 2019.
