Jeffrey Glasser

I am a self taught photographer having been involved with photography for more than forty years. My work has been in over sixty exhibitions and have won numerous awards including the Grand Prize in the Master's Division of Foto3 sponsored by View Camera Magazine, and a People's Award in a special edition of Black and White Magazine. My photographs are in private, corporate and public collections.

Several years ago I printed a limited edition of platinum/palladium/gold prints for internationally acclaimed photographer Mario Algaze of four of his signature images.

My work is captured on film and printed on photographic silver-gelatin fiber paper, hand-coated platinum/palladium/gold sensitized cotton fiber paper and/or cotton vellum backed with 24carat gold leaf or sterling silver leaf. All printed by me in a traditional "wet" darkroom. I also print digitally from scanned negatives on cotton rag paper with Ultrachrome K3 inks.

The subject matter varies but leans toward landscape and still-life but does not exclude images with people.

Self taught

Exhibitions include: the Miami International Airport, Miami-Dade County Libraries, books and Books, the Friends of Photography, Photogroup, Temple Beth Am, the Miami Center for Photography,Photo Place Gallery Vermont, the Sierra Club, Villa Vizcaya, the Wirtz Gallery, the Datran Center, the JCC, the Gallery at Pinecrest Gardens, Ilford's Online Gallery, twice on the Hasselblad Around the World section and published three times in Black and White Magazine. An exhibition at the Futernick Family Gallery will begin March 26, 2017.
