Whether creating an abstract or a representational artwork intuitive brushwork allows me to be expressive in a manner that satisfies. Some days I want to be realistic, other times more more abstract. Stylistic diversity keeps my art---and my hours in the studio---interesting.
Most often my landscapes focus on the small scenes of nature, not her sweeping vistas. I am attracted to the notion of intimacy with nature through my paintings. Many of my landscapes are a composite of memories.
After nearly twenty years of painting, the challenges remain and the fun never stops. While I enjoy participating in juried art fairs and exhibits and meeting buyers and viewers, currently, I am marketing my art almost entirely on the internet,
