Jo Empson

I am a picture book maker based in the UK.

My love of design and background as a graphic designer has had a great influence on my artwork.
My artworks are inspired by nature, expressing this through texture and movement with a strong sense of shape, colour and design. I love to play with colour in the form of a visual narrative.

I work mainly in watercolour inks, sometimes combining this with printmaking along with digital composition. All my art for sale are high quality Giclé LIMITED EDITION SIGNED AND NUMBERED printed on Hahnemüle German Etching heavyweight paper 310gsm.

Many of my limited edition prints are from original artwork taken from my picture books which have sold world-wide and over half a million copies. They have been translated into many languages including: Chinese, Korean, Russian, Arabic, Danish, Dutch, U.S and Welsh.
