John Loughman

I Live and work in Seattle, WA and Whidbey Island, WA. There I help run a small flower farm while I am not painting and drawing. I am currently on a three year sabbatical from the Navy and am pursuing another B.A. at Seattle University. My Work is in a transition phase of sorts. The past year I painted nothing but Landscapes in order to gain a better understanding of my chosen medium: oil paint. I have since veered from plein air painting (taught me a lot!) and am going back into commissioned portraits, portraits and figure-based drawings.
