Joost Van Santen

Light and solar phenomena are the heart of my work. Natural variations of the daylight create dynamic, living images.

In my projects with daylight art in architecture, I seek out, in close collaboration with the architect, the places where the inflowing light can be intercepted and transformed.

In my sculptures, light images appear changing according to the time of day and season.

To reflect the essence of my work:

I use my drawings as research for my 3-D work, exploring Light.
