My inclination for the visual arts started when I was a child. I recall the earliest memory at 5 or 6 years of age when I first drew the branches and leaves of a tree instead of a "green cloud" attached to a trunk. Since then, nature has been a recurring theme in my art work: the huge and leafy trees of Venezuela, the magic of the cloud forest, the dark green mountains, the hidden beaches and the sea.

I've been a person of multiple interests. During adolescence I wanted to become an architect, a computer engineer and an archaeologist. My professional career as an engineer and manager has had many facets; however, throughout my life the artist within has been present, silently working, relentlessly experimenting.

Drawing and painting have been a need, like breathing, and a joy, like a never-ending adventure. A need to express myself visually that comes from very deep inside, paired with a strong desire to experiment and discover. And between those two, the wonders of creation transpire!
