A lifetime of inspiration, a work in progress…

An artist who got lost along the way but recently encountered his artistic spirit.

Having studied Illustration & Design in the late 80's, chose a different career path only to find my way back towards the passion within since early childhood.

Creating works of art stemming at times from a source of inspiration or mindset deeply personal to me. Flirting at times with Abstract Expressionism, if labels need affixing.

Influences and inspirations can be found anywhere but two artists in particular have made an impact, Van Gogh for his tenacity and Clyfford Still for his conviction and integrity in regards to his body of work.

Like most artists setting out to create, I usually go in with an idea of what I would like to achieve and then abandon myself to the creative process. I let the transformation occur into what will hopefully be a gratifying end result.

I paint mainly/only in acrylic and because acrylic dries quickly, it requires you to paint in the "now" and any addition made to the work later is left to serendipity and how I will feel the moment I return to it.
