Jo Vincent

Inspired by the rich diversity of the British landscape and coastline, I create abstract landscape and seascape paintings that reflect the energy, colour, and atmosphere of nature. My practice includes plein air painting, spending intentional time outdoors absorbing my surroundings to capture the essence of a place, a meditative moment in time. Through expressive movement, my work evokes the shifting seasons, the ever-changing sky, and the dynamic power of natural water.

My vision now is to not only create, but to share the healing and grounding power of art. I believe in the deep connection between creativity and wellness. My own personal experiences of acquiring a life changing disability in my late twenties have allowed me to truly experience the benefit of the numerous therapeutic properties of a absorbing yourself in a regular creative practise. I hope that my work encourages others to slow down, seek out the beauty in their surroundings, and find stillness and pursue creativity in their own lives, as a reflection of resilience, moments of calm in chaos, and a celebration of nature’s quiet, powerful therapeutic presence.
