Irina Krilo

My name is Irina Krilo. I'm a designer and mosaic maker based in Riga, Latvia. Since 2020 I'm a founder of ArtSavesNature initiative.
I believe that art can change peoples attitude to many issues. My every mosaic is my reflection on environmental problems and the impact that human activities make on nature. The phenomenon of Time and its role in our life is another important part of my art.
My favorite media are stones, pebbles and rocks, but I enjoy experimenting with glass, smalti and other media as well. I create in my workshop known as Kabinetto Mosaic Studio.

2009 - Diploma in Environmental Design and Interior Design of Baltic International Academy (Riga, Latvia)

2024 - Participation in Wings of Riga annual art event with new mosaic series Open Your Eyes devoted to rare flora species of latvian nature.
2023 - Public mosaic project Symbols of Sarkandaugava devoted to Sarkandaugava quarter of Riga
2023 - Participation in international exhibition Pictor Imaginarius with mosaic "Inner Vision"
2020 - Participation in Wings of Riga 2020 annual art event with the whole of my artwork range.
2020 - Participation in international exhibition project Save This World! The Breaking Point with mosaic "Saturnia Pavonia"
2019 - Participation in international exhibition Wings of Riga with Art Nouveau mosaic series
2019 - Participation in international exhibition Pictor Imaginarius with mosaic "Butterfly Wing Effect"
2018 - Laureate of International contest Sofia-Rus (София-Русь): I place for mosaic "The Falling Star"; II place for mosaic "Water is Life"
