As a young child I won a gold medal for a drawing of a dog. My father and I used to draw together. I graduated from Montclair State University and did take some art classes there, however, that was not my major. I am mostly self taught. I began painting seriously in 2000 and in 2009 I was in a 4 state competition with thousands of aritsts in a museum. I won First Place in Painting oil/acrylics. The juror was the previous director of the Guggenheim so this was quite an honor!
BA Montclair State University in Upper Montclair, NJ
Graduate degree in Counseling from UMDNJ in Piscataway, NJ
I have exhibited in museums, galleries, libraries, and colleges both out West in Nevada and California and on the East coast in NY and NJ.
I will be exhibiting in a group show at the Paul Robeson Arts Center 102 Witherspoon St in Princeton the month of December 2022.
In addition, December 6-January 4, 2022 will be my solo exhibition at Small World Coffee on 14 Witherspoon St in Princeton, NJ. Generally, they have several artists every month in a group show. The curator is an art professor and when she saw my work she asked if I could do a solo exhibition.
