"... Nature on a tectonic scale..."
"Highly stylized..."

– Mark Jenkins,
The Washington Post

"Shadow, color, and texture work in harmony to evoke a sense of impermanence and allusion."

–The Washington Sculptor

In my artwork, I explore transformation and interpretation. The vast possibilities of the everyday relationships, artifacts, and symbols around us guide my creative endeavors. Whether it’s transforming old into new, the complex into the simple, or redefining the known into the unfamiliar, my work is rooted in observation and the conviction that we all have the power to reinvent ideas, objects, and beliefs into something that is our own.

I earned a BA in Anthropology with distinction from Connecticut College in New London, Connecticut where I studied sculpture under David Smalley. I received an MA in Communication from The Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland.
