Kate Shiells

British artist currently living in Bavaria, Germany. I love to mix materials and processes in an exploratory way, drawing on my formal training in constructed textile design (BA Hons) and further studies in both classical and contemporary painting methods. Working with a mainly neutral colour palette, I explore textural effects, intuitive mark making and manipulation of materials to create abstract mixed media artworks.
