Katie-Mai Quinn

Katie-Mai is a self taught contemporary wildlife artist from the UK and is currently based in Colorado. She uses minimalist backgrounds along with negative space to quiet any distractions for the viewer, and thereby encouraging them to concentrate on observing the subject: the animal. She purposely paints the animal at a smaller scale to further draw in the viewer’s focus. With her work, Katie-Mai strives to draw attention to the majesty and significance of wildlife and the active role we all play in wildlife and habitat conservation.
