Kinga Makowka is a Polish-born artist based in Yorkshire, whose atmospheric abstract landscapes explore the quiet tension between presence and absence, memory and emotion.
Her paintings evoke dreamlike spaces rather than literal places - spaces shaped by feeling, reflection, and the inner landscapes we often carry but rarely name. Working with layered washes and delicate textures, Kinga captures the softness of becoming, the ache of unspoken thought, and the beauty found in stillness.
Much of her work is rooted in personal experience, particularly her neurodivergence, which has shaped her sensitivity to nuance, silence, and subtle shifts in energy. Her paintings are not just images - they are invitations: to pause, to feel, and to listen to what lives beneath the surface.
Kinga’s work has been exhibited in galleries across the UK and collected worldwide by those who seek art that moves beyond the visual - art that breathes, remembers, and quietly lingers.
