Valeria Koshkina was born in 1961 in Moscow.
In 1984 she graduated from the Stroganov Moscow State University of Arts and Industry, and since 1992 she has lived in Prague, where she specialises in cabinet sculpting and medal-making.
Valeria is a member of both the Czech Association of Art Medalists AUM (since 1994) and the International Art Medal Federation (FIDEM - Fédération Internationale de la Médailles d'Art) .
Valeria as a designer of figural and decorative porcelain cooperates with several well-known Czech manufacturers as a designer of figural and decorative porcelain. Rudolf Kampf, Royal Dux Bohemia and Haas and Czjzek are among them.
Valeria Koshkina regularly takes part in exhibitions and symposia focusing on the production of medals and cabinet sculptures.
Valeria Koshkina is married and she is the mother of two children – a son and a daughter.
