Valentin Vassilev

In the last 45 years, I have been involved in many public art projects. In addition, my art has been shown in Exhibitions, Galleries, Museums, Art Forums, and numerous Private Collections all over the world. Gallery "Raphael" in Frankfurt am Main, Germany represented my art for Moore for 4 decades. In the late 80,s of the last Century my art was shown in Basel Art-Switzerland for 6-7 years. In 2001 I was a recipient of the Special Awards-Medal and Diploma from Professor Celona, President of the Biennale Internazionale Dell Arte Contemporanea, Florence Italy.
In 2007-The vice Premier of Bulgaria, the Mayor of Odesa, the Patriarch of Ukraine, the Patriarch of Bulgaria, and a huge delegation from the Bulgarian Parliament officially unveiled the monument of the Brothers St. Cyril and Methodius in Odesa, Ukraine created by me.
My art is in Private Collections such as Hollywood Celebrity - Mr. Arsenio Hall, Mr.David Eisner, Vice President of U.S.A-Mr.Al Gore, President of Bulgaria-Mr.Peter Stoyanov, President of Bulgaria -Mr. Georgi Parvanov, Prime Minister of Bulgaria-Mr.Boyko Borissov and many other, respected individuals.

Took first prize-academic Award for portrait competition 1982-Sofia Bulgaria, winning six months scholarship in Moscow and St. Petersburg, Russia, specializing in art history, sculpture and drawing.

Artist Statement

My art is based on human forms, which express the dynamics of the soul and the powerful energy of the creative mind.
My sculptures resonate with love and compassion for humanity, the power of Nature, and the energy of Spiritual presence.
Even though the monumental sculpture is in my natural preference, my shapes do not lose their power on a smaller scale.
