I draw inspiration from the human form, nature, and architecture.
Whether in figurative or abstract styles, I explore the interconnectedness of these subjects and weaving it into a new narratives.

The human form reveals the beauty and vulnerability of our shared humanity, while nature’s rich textures and delicate balance offer endless possibilities for visual expression.I am drawn to convey the harmony, resilience, and fragility within these intertwined realms.

Architecture, with its lines, angles, and textures, speaks volumes about human aspirations and our relationship with the environments we inhabit. By blurring the boundaries between man-made and organic my art seems reflect the harmony and tensions that arise.


Employing diverse techniques and mediums, I push the boundaries of my artistic vision, constantly seeking fresh ways to intertwine the human form, nature, and architecture. My ultimate goal is to engage viewers in a dialogue, evoking wonder and introspection for the intricate beauty and ultimate mystery that surrounds us.

Kurt was born in 1956 in Cologne , Germany , where he attended the Gymnasium Kreuzgasse , Odenwaldschule Oberhambach, Universität Köln and Fachhochschule für Kunst und Design .
He studied with the painter Friedrich Haupt in Cologne and designer Michael Voorman (brother of well known Beatles collaborator Klaus Voorman).
Both teachers ignited a lifelong love for painting and drawing as means of creative expression and a deep fascination with the different styles and movements throughout history as,well as modern and contemporary art .
He enrolled at Cologne University studying art history, science of theater, film and TV and ethnology while also attending the Cologne School of Art and Design.
Feeling unsatisfied with academia he embarked on a journey that lasted many years driving overland all the way from his native Cologne in Germany through Afghanistan and further on to India and Sri Lanka .
After spending about 4 years on the road in Asia he made his way across the Pacific to the West Coast of the United States where he eventually settled in the San Francisco Bay Area and worked for many years as residential builder and designer.
