Laurelle Bessé

After architecture studies at the Beaux-arts at Tours (France), I set up a cartography company which I led for a dozen years. Afterwards I worked as an interior designer for a shipyard making luxury yachts before devoting myself to the painting and sculpture. Numerous prizes rewarded my work; my paintings are now all over the world (Germany, USA, Australia, Netherlands …).
As an atmosphere’s maker, I imagine old dwelling interiors, walls rich in history, intense and bright colors. Another step, and you’re inside, you take possession of the place. Sit down for a moment on the worn-out velvet sofa… Through the large opened door, the light-flooded garden incites you to pursue your daydream. Realised with oil and knife, my paintings are places where we can escape.
