Laurenleely draws on nostalgia and childhood memories; capturing moments surrounded by food, domesticity, and creature comforts. Drawing intricate and detailed interiors to the fullest and most abundant of details allows her to live in and share these imagined worlds akin to the books she read and the video games she played as a child and never fully grew out of. These inviting scenes are intended to evoke similar memories, and invite others to reminisce about their favourite foods, stories, places, and things.

Between The Lines is a series of digital paintings where her obsession for drawing intricate and detailed spaces meets her love for literature. The collection is inspired by the spaces one conjures and imagines when reading fictional novels. In her mind, together the paintings form a collective that all live in the same universe, tied together by strings across different worlds.
