Linton Meagher

Born 1975 in Sydney. Linton Meagher is an Australian artist living and working in Sydney.
. Represented by Maunsell Wickes at Barry Stern Galleries in Sydney () and Dacre Art, UK. Lintons work explores the ways that a range of readymade objects, such as lipsticks, botox vials, surgical scalpels, watches and bullet shells, can be taken out of their usual context and presented in a way that challenges the viewer to question their wider meaning in society. His work has evolved from oil on canvas works to mixed media works made from resin and perspex. See for more details.

Linton Meagher studied art at the Julian Ashton School and at the University of Sydney, completing a Bachelor of Arts majoring in Fine Arts in 1996.

Meagher has had numerous solo exhibitions Maunsell Wickes at Barry Stern Galleries, Sydney, and COMODAA Gallery, London since 2008. Selected group exhibitions include The Space gallery, Hong Kong, in 2009 and 2011 and the Cat Street Gallery in Hong Kong, 2010. He has exhibited three times in Sculpture by the Sea, Bondi, and at the Hong Kong Art Fair, 2010, and Singapore Art Fair.
