Liz Demaree

I am a painter, photographer, printmaker and book artist. My current work consists of collages which I scan and make gel transfer prints from (in limited editions of 10). Often there is a story for each image or series of images. I also make unique artist books using these same images. I have been writing a science fiction story called "Pilgrimage" which is loosely based on "The Canterbury Tales." The square collages are all about the 11 travelers whose plane crashes in the Canadian wilderness. As they spend days trekking to the nearest air base, they tell stories about their childhood and other personal events to each.

I am currently in 3 shows; The Annual Members Show at the Printmaking Council of NJ; "Body and Soul" at the Montclair NJ Public Library - juried by the Studio Montclair group; and "My View" at Maxwell's Bar and Restaurant in Hoboken NJ (Which is where I lived for many years in the late '70s and '80s.)
