Lon Brauer

I grew up in a family of medical professionals. Art was a distant land but I had the support that made becoming an artist a reality. After a long and successful career as a studio photographer I switch back to painting full time. As Lon Brauer Studios I have been creating both figurative and landscape images with oil paint for the past 10 years. My work is shown nationwide in galleries and is owned by private collectors throughout the United States and abroad.

Whether figure, landscape, or still life my paintings engage with the viewer communicating a visual story. The work explores both subject and the materials needed to convey the abstraction of image on a flat surface.
