ABOUT:
"Renowned for his groundbreaking "Most Wanted" mugshot art series and neon wall sculptures, Sidoli's work stands out in the UK contemporary art market by offering a sophisticated alternative to mainstream art, by paying homage to popular culture through a lens of sleek minimalism. His passion for creating innovative art crafted from high quality materials, originates from his background in car design. His work stands apart from the traditional art scene by infusing the Warhol pop-art tradition with a contemporary twist, utilising cutting-edge mixed media such as aluminium. His distinctive work has been exhibited and sold at over 200 galleries globally, from local showcases to global brands and the iconic Harrods in London. Sidoli's portfolio of innovative work with unparalleled craftsmanship has attracted many notable collectors and the support of some of the world's most renowned brands such as Aston Martin, as well as high profile exhibitions and creative collaborations with the likes of football icon Pele."

Biography:

Louis Sidoli comes from an artistic Anglo Italian family and displayed an aptitude for art at an early age. However, rather than taking the traditional art school route, he carved out a successful career in the car industry. He was heavily involved with the design of some of the world’s most iconic cars throughout his accomplished career, such as the Mini and Range Rover.

In the 2000’s, he took a huge risk and decided to leave the corporate world behind to explore his artistic side. However, his experience in the automotive industry was in fact to become the building block for his artistic future. His affinity for premium materials, craftsmanship and attention to detail in his artworks is a result of his product design background and differentiates him from most other artists. Sidoli draws on this experience of industrial manufacturing techniques to fine tune each step of the process in his work, by customising and integrating every detail of the artwork and its presentation from the level of polishing applied to aluminium surfaces to the electrical design of his neon works.

His fascination with pop artist Andy Warhol has also played a significant role in shaping his work. Drawing inspiration from Warhol's silkscree...

After his debut art exhibition in 2007, he was swiftly signed by the UK's largest art dealer and publisher Washington Green Fine art, who distributed his work through an extensive network of approximately 100 galleries, including the renowned Harrods in London. His artistic journey has since flourished with over 60 solo and group exhibitions to his credit.
Outside the world of art galleries, his work has been exhibited at many prestigious locations such as the Commonwealth Club, The Barbican Centre, The Football Museum, Aston Martin Mayfair, “Laylow” private members club and the legendary Abbey Road Studios.
